At the crossroads

Do you have a tough decision to make? Not sure which way to go? Sometimes, life brings us at the crossroads and we are compelled to make a decision that will change the course of our future one way or another.

In such circumstances, let’s look to God and ask for His wisdom instead of relying on ourselves or others for the answer.

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” (James 3:17 (NIV))

God gives us wisdom generously and without finding fault:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5 (NIV))

However, when we ask, we must believe and not doubt:
“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” (James 1:6-8 (NIV))

Crossroads are hard places to be at. Although they can be confusing, conflicting and challenging, they are also an opportunity for us to pause and pray to God for His wisdom. He already has the answer. We just need to seek Him and believe in Him for the solution to our problem.
